Use: used as a sulfiding agent for oxide ores in ore dressing, also used as a pH adjuster, a desulfurization agent for sulfide ores, and widely used in copper-aluminum separation processes.
Properties: colorless or white crystals, easy to deliquesce, and the aqueous solution is strongly alkaline, so it is also called sodium sulfide. It is corrosive and toxic. Industrial products are often pink, brownish red, and khaki due to impurities.
